Make A Difference

KM Davis Ministries is seeking applications from individuals interested in joining our Board of Directors and Advisory Board.

The mission of KM Davis Ministries is to disciple and provide for those in need so they will find purpose, faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. We serve as a place for those who are in transition to find community during their process.

KM Davis Ministries has a governing board consisting of 7 representatives who serve without compensation. All of our members are deeply committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and sharing the message of grace, love and hope across the world.

The directors meet bi-monthly and serve an initial 3 year commitment. Every member contributes annually to KM Davis Ministries and plays a role in fundraising for the ministry.

Board Member Responsibilities & Expectations

As a KM Davis Ministries board member, you will be expected to:

Fundraising and Outreach: Actively engage in fundraising and outreach efforts to support the ministry’s programs and events. Each board member is responsible for contributing or securing annual donations as part of their commitment.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate in developing and implementing strategies that advance the ministry’s mission, vision, and impact. This includes attending strategic planning meetings, reviewing ministry objectives, and setting new goals.
Community Engagement: Serve as an ambassador for KM Davis Ministries in the community by attending and supporting ministry events, networking to increase awareness, and advocating for our mission.
Financial Oversight: Oversee budgeting, ensure financial resources align with ministry goals, and participate in financial planning discussions. Members with a background in finance are encouraged to contribute their expertise.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for individuals who:

Have Nonprofit or Ministry Experience: Ideally, board members will have experience in nonprofit governance, ministry, or community service.
Possess Professional Expertise: Knowledge in fields such as finance, accounting, law, business development, fundraising, event planning, or marketing is valuable.
Demonstrate Leadership Ability: Candidates should have experience in leadership roles, particularly in mission-driven organizations or churches.
Show Passion for our Mission: Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to Christian values and be passionate about supporting individuals in transition and growing faith-centered communities.

Additional Note: Familiarity with the needs of families, veterans, women, or economic development initiatives is a plus, as these are key focus areas for KM Davis Ministries.

Application Process Timeline

Application Submission: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Review Period: The board will review applications within 2-4 weeks after submission. Candidates selected to move forward will be contacted for interviews.
Interview Process: Interviews will be conducted with the board selection committee, which may include one or two rounds depending on the number of applicants.
Final Selection and Notification: Candidates can expect to be notified within 30 days of their interview.

Time Commitment

Board members are required to:

Attend Bi-Monthly Meetings: Meetings occur every other month, lasting approximately 1-2 hours. Participation can be virtual or in person, based on members’ locations and schedules.
Participate in Annual Events and Retreats: Attend one or more KM Davis Ministries events annually and participate in board retreats, which help foster deeper engagement and strategic planning.
Additional Engagement: Beyond meetings, board members should anticipate dedicating 5-10 hours per month to board duties, which include committee work, planning, and outreach efforts.

Board Member Training and Orientation

New board members will participate in an orientation session where they will be introduced to KM Davis Ministries’ mission, values, organizational structure, and goals.
Additional resources, including a board handbook, financial reports, and ministry programs overview, will be provided.
Ongoing training is available throughout the year to support board member growth and development.
